「職專教育城」已經啟用了！
2018年6月號的Webline介紹了由職業訓練局、香港公開大學、明愛專上學院和明愛白英奇專業學校共同參與的質素提升支援計劃項目─「聯校職業培訓教育─創新學與教資源共享平台」。我們很高興地宣佈，主要的項目成果「職專教育城」已於2018年8月24日在香港知專設計學院舉行的啟動禮中正式啟用。
啟動禮由教育局常任秘書長楊何蓓茵女士主持。在歡迎辭中，職業訓練局執行幹事尤曾家麗女士說：「新推出的『職專教育城』是香港首個聯校創建的網上學與教資源共享平台。有了這個網上平台，讓師生及業內人士無論何時何地都能共同發展、分享及交流教學資源及方法，將職業專才教育的發展提升至另一層次。」多位教育界的嘉賓亦蒞臨主持啟動儀式，包括教育局自資專上教育基金督導委員會主席黃錦沛先生、香港公開大學教育科技出版總監曾婉媚博士、明愛專上學院及明愛白英奇專業學校常務副校長余嬋雲教授，以及「職專教育城」項目委員會主席及職業訓練局副執行幹事廖世樂博士，為儀式增光添彩。
「職專教育城」有什麼內容？
在「職專教育城」內，你可以找到「酒店及餐飲」、「醫療保健及社會服務」、「商業及管理」，以及「服務」四個課程範疇的職業技能教材套，內容涵蓋酒店前台操作、肉類衛生和監督以及配藥等教學主題。教材套提供了教學短片，互動遊戲和小測驗等創新素材，以增強學生學習動機和教學互動。除此以外，「職專教育城」還備有教學方法、評估及職場指導指南供大眾下載，部份培訓講義及影片亦已上載網站給大眾參考。

VPETCity has been launched!
In Webline Issue June 2018, the Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS) Project “Development of Effective Pedagogical Practices and a Cross-institutional Online Sharing Platform for Hong Kong's Vocational Education and Training (VET)” jointly held by Vocational Training Council (VTC), The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers (CBCC) was introduced. We are very proud to announce that the major project deliverable, VPETCity was formally launched on 24 August 2018 at Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI).
The Launching Ceremony was officiated by Mrs Ingrid Yeung, Permanent Secretary for Education of the HKSAR Government. In the welcome address, Mrs Carrie Yau, Executive Director of VTC said, “The newly launched VPETCity is Hong Kong's first cross-institutional online learning and teaching platform for Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) and open educational resources. With this online platform in place, teachers, learners and industry practitioners can co-develop, share and exchange learning and teaching materials and teaching practices anytime, anywhere, taking VPET learning to the next level.” The occasion was also graced by Mr Wilfred Wong, Chairman of Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund Steering Committee of Education Bureau (EDB); Dr Eva Tsang, Director of Educational Technology and Publishing Unit of OUHK; Professor Annie Bligh, Provost of CIHE and CBCC; and Dr Eric Liu, Chairman of Project Committee of VPETCity and Deputy Executive Director of VTC.
What's in VPETCity?
In VPETCity you could find the Teaching and Learning Packages (TLPs) exemplars of four programme areas, including Hotel and Catering, Health Care and Community Services, Business and Management, and Servicing. These TLPs cover teaching topics of hotel front office operations, meat hygiene and food inspection, and dispensing practice. There are innovative teaching materials such as videos, interactive games and quizzes to enhance the motivation and interactions in learning and teaching. In addition, other resources in VPETCity including Mentoring Guides and Training Programme Resources are also available for public's access.
