Effective classroom management not only benefits the effectiveness of teaching and learning; but also increases satisfaction and reduces burnout for teachers. To enhance teachers' classroom management skills, the Classroom Management Workshop Series offered by the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) aim to help teachers explore the issue of classroom management from different perspectives and work out solutions to their classroom management problems.


Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of the series are as follows:

  • deepen understanding of our students 
  • prepare participants to handle classroom irregularities more skillfully 
  • generate appropriate and effective classroom management strategies in daily teaching 
  • enhance teaching effectiveness through classroom management skills

Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the series, participants would be able to:

  • address the needs and the learning styles of the youth 
  • identify and use classroom management skills such as teachers' practices, classroom procedures and settings, and teacher-student relationship 
  • apply techniques to manage different student behaviours 
  • reflect upon the relationship between teaching styles and classroom management
