About the Event :

As a strategic move in enhancing VPET in Hong Kong, structured workplace learning and assessment (WLA) has been introduced across different disciplines to develop and evaluate students' competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) at an authentic workplace.  In WLA, unit standards are important documents that spell out the competency requirements of particular tasks and functions, and the expected outcomes for VPET in respective industries.  In the workshop, participants will be introduced to and familiarised with the formation and the alignments between different components of a unit standard.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

Upon completion of the workshop, participants would be able to:

-describe the workflow and considerations for developing unit standards; and 

-design a unit standard for a module with the title, outcomes and assessment tasks in alignment.
