About the Event :

This workshop aims at equipping the participants with skills to respond to emergencies happened in campus and to make good use of the knowledge and intervention skills to cope with the crisis and students' negative emotions including anxiety and depression caused by the change of learning mode due to the suspension of face-to-face classes and the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

Facilitator(s) :

Mr. Chan Yuen Yue

Mr. Chan Yuen Yue has been engaged in social services for almost 20 years. He is specialised in psychological counselling, group therapy, life education, family counselling, parent-child relationship, career counselling, career planning and other services. He is often invited to different companies and organisations to deliver psychology related trainings and talks. 

Intended Learning Outcomes :

Upon completion of this workshop, the participants will be able to:

  • explore the intervention steps, interviewing principles and skills to cope with various crisis situations;
  • mediate students'anxiety, depression, aggressive emotions, suicidal thoughts or violent behaviours in an effective way.
