About the Event :

Online and software-based learning tools have been widely used in education. EdTech tools such as Google Classroom, Jamboard, Google Analytics provide rich teaching resources for educators. While enormous education data is collected and analysed, students are entitled to better learning experience.

This workshop shows you the journey of data explosion and basic research on learning. It introduces to participants a practical aspect of handy digital tools and showcases how data fits in the education world.

Ms Cathy Yu, the communications director and chief trainer at Smart Talents Marketing Communications, is a seasoned trainer in both corporate and education fields for over 10 years. With her background of integrated marketing communications and technology, her digital knowledge empowered her clients with creativity and engagement. Cathy spent over 10 years mentoring many projects to help students/corporate staff succeed in their programmes such as Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, big data analytics and etc. She has recently also integrated ‘play' elements in workshops including LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, LEGO® DUPLO Six Bricks and Playbox to unleash ingenuity with her clients. 

Intended Learning Outcomes :

Upon completion of this workshop, the participants would be able to:

1. plan a blended learning lesson that combines face-to-face with online teaching; and

2. leverage digital tools (Google Classroom, Jamboard, Google Analytics) to improve students' performance and engagement.
