About the Event :

“BIG Data” is a concept to describe enormous data that can be analysed for insights leading to better strategies and decisions. Big data and education could be a perfect match. When big data is effectively used for education, students will have better experiences for learning. This webinar brings the participants a handful of practical tools from big data and showcases how to fit them in the education world. Trends and development of big data plus education will also be introduced. Moreover, some tips on how to increase the engagement of online teaching as one of the successful big data strategies will be covered.

Cathy Yu is a seasoned trainer in both corporate and education area for more than 10 years. With her background of integrated marketing communications specialised in technology, her digital knowledge empowered the participants with creativity and engagement. Cathy spent more than 10 years to mentor many projects to help students/corporate staff succeed in their programme such as Search Engine Optimisation, Search Engine Marketing, big data analytics and etc. She recently also integrated ‘play' elements in workshops including LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, LEGO® DUPLO Six Bricks and Playbox to unleash ingenuity with audience.

  2. introduce the available resources from big data
  3. share online teaching strategies of implementation of increasing learners' engagement
