This seminar aims to enhance participants' techniques to help Non-Chinese Speaking Students (NCSS) learn Chinese and to deepen their understanding about the needs of NCSS. This seminar starts with a personal experience sharing on practical techniques that have proven to work in the life of Dr Ullah, a Hong Kong-born Pakistani who is fluent in Cantonese. Dr Ullah will share about his pathway of learning Chinese, from which teachers could gain insight on how to help students learn Chinese. He will also share some real cases about the NCSS' Chinese language situation and discuss how their Chinese language learning can be further enhanced.
