About the Event :

With the growing adoption of digital learning and teaching, there is an escalating demand to effectively utilise learning analytics to optimise student performance and refine instructional methodologies. This module focuses on the utilisation of learning analytics as a strategic approach to optimise students' learning performance. It encompasses the collection, measurement, analysis, and reporting of student data, aiming to generate insights that contribute to the improvement of teaching and learning processes. This module will introduce participants to various learning analytics tools available in different learning platforms, such as "IntelliBoard" (an analytics tool on Moodle), Learner Analytics on MS Teams, Panopto, and more. Above all, it will explore how participants can leverage data and analytics to actively engage students in online learning and evaluate the effectiveness of their teaching practices.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

At the end of this module, participants will be able to:

• explore the use of learning analytics tools across diverse learning platforms; and
• employ the data and information extracted from IntelliBoard to monitor students' learning progress to enhance online learning and teaching.
