About the Event :

The webinar titled "Unlocking Youth Mental Health: Building Emotional Resilience and Strengthening Communication Skills for Teachers" will shed light on the critical importance of mental health to young individuals, as it significantly impacts their behaviours, academic performance, and overall well-being. It will also explore how mental health influences interpersonal relationships and academic success. Moreover, tips on effective communication with case sharing will be presented.

Service In-charge of School Social Work Service, Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service

Mr Jacky Leung, is the Service In-charge of School Social Work Service at Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service (BOKSS), which founded in 1978 and provides an array of services, including services for Integrated Children, Youth and Family, and Mental Health. Specialising in family and couple therapy and serving as a School Social Worker for Primary and Secondary schools, as well as a Medical Social Worker in a Public Hospital, Mr Leung has extensive experience supporting teachers, students and parents by playing a crucial role in overseeing the School Social Work Service, ensuring the needs of schools and families are met. 

Objectives :

The webinar aims to empower teachers with knowledge and strategies to enhance their students' emotional resilience and communication skills through the awareness of youth mental health maintenance. We will discuss effective communication techniques that can help teachers establish a supportive and open dialogue with their students for better facilitation.
