About the Event :

As a strategic move in enhancing VPET, structured Workplace Learning and Assessment (WLA) has been introduced to all disciplines in developing and evaluating students' competency at their authentic workplaces. In WLA, unit standards are important for specifying the competency requirements of particular tasks and functions in respective industries. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the particular format, rules and alignment of different components in writing unit standards.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

Upon completion of the workshop, participants would be able to:

-describe the workflow and considerations for developing unit standards; and 

-design a unit standard for a module with the title, outcomes and assessment tasks in alignment.
