About the Event :

Our students no longer rely only on lecture-notes and textbooks to access information today. They could learn a new skill in a fast and effective way via watching online video tutorials. However, creating the video tutorial is time-consuming and it has always been a big challenge for teachers.

This workshop aims to equip participants with essential skills of using “MySimpleShow”, a freeware, to create an animated video tutorial without having prior knowledge of video production. The software suggests various illustrations for conceptualising a story and participants can quickly create a video tutorial to explain a complicated subject.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

On completion of the workshop, participants would be able to:

•  create an animated video tutorial for instructional use, 
  
• integrate formative assessment elements into video to check student's understanding; and 
  
• identify good pedagogical practices for the creation of video tutorial.
