About the Event :

Teachers lead to help students succeed. In addition to direct instructional teaching of sharing knowledge, teachers also motivate and coach students to unleash their potential. Coaching is a less direct but effective form of leading students, particularly the millennials as they do not like to be told, to perform and attain the intended learning outcomes. The approach to coaching will depend on the development level of the student. So, it is “different strokes for different folks”.

Facilitator(s) :

Guest Speaker – Weelan Ho

Intended Learning Outcomes :

On completion of the workshop, participants would be able to:

  •  use a systematic and structured approach to coach;
  • apply the techniques of Instructions, Inquiry and Advocacy in Coaching; and
  • develop a coaching plan for learning and teaching.
