About the Event :
Portfolio with its associations of negotiation, reflection and development has become more widely used in vocational education (Bragg, 1995). Regardless of the specific type, portfolio has advantages and disadvantages that determine whether you will find it useful in your own teaching.
In this workshop, we will outline the advantages and disadvantages of portfolio assessment. We will also discuss how to determine sufficiency of evidence and authenticity of the work, and the skills that assessors need to assess student learning with portfolio.
Through a mixture of discussion and activities, you are encouraged to exchange ideas and share your experiences on assessing student learning with portfolio in the workshop.
