About the Event :

Clear and precise academic writing is important for teachers and researchers in presenting and exchanging ideas with others, and pursue career advancement.

This workshop is designed for those hoping to enhance the quality and impact of their academic writing. It focuses on the vital importance of structure and clarity in academic writing. The workshop covers practical skills to structure academic writing with clarity, describe research data, and present results clearly. In an active learning environment, participants set goals, plan and write through interactive exercises.

Mr Nick Case

Alongside his role as Founder and Chief Operations Officer at AsiaEdit, Mr Nick Case has over 20 years of experience presenting language improvement courses and workshops in Hong Kong and China. Clients include more than 100 multinational companies of various sectors, the Government and the local universities including CUHK, PolyU, CityU, HKU and HKUST.

Mike gained his PhD in Southeast Asian Studies from the Australian National University in 2002 before joining AsiaEdit. As Chief Editor, he has over 20 years of experience in helping clients improve their manuscripts for publication.

  • conform with academic writing norms;
  • plan and structure their writing; and
  • describe research data and their implications.
