About the Event :

Mobile technologies are a familiar part of the lives of most teachers and students in this digital age. It offers the potential for interactive and rich multimedia learning experiences. Mobile technologies allow students to collect, progress and engage information inside and outside the classroom. The challenge for educators is understanding and exploring how best we might use mobile technology and resources to support learning. Studies showed that mobile technologies can be used for facilitating communication, collaboration, and understanding of concepts.

This workshop will give a brief introduction of the potential and affordances of mobile technologies in education with some examples of mobile learning with apps for classroom engagement and assessment. Having a taste on the free mobile tools in this workshop, participants could reflect on better practices and design considerations in mobile learning.
