About the Event :

Even with some familiarity of Open and Flexible Educational Resources (OFERs), choosing exactly which ones are best for a teacher's specific class and personal development is a daunting task. This workshop will focus on the use of OFERs in the context of the participants' teaching roles, and will facilitate the development of an OFER-linked curriculum or syllabus or plan for each participant. This workshop will identify challenges for OFERs within the specific context of the participants' classrooms and careers, and planning how to adopt and adapt the OFERs for that context.

Facilitator(s) :

Guest Speaker – Dr Dave Towey

Intended Learning Outcomes :

On completion of the workshop, participants would be able to:

  • identify OFERs relevant to their own classroom (and professional development); and
  • create a curriculum/syllabus/plan for how to incorporate the OFERs into a class.
