About the Seminar
Resilience and Drive is one of our critical intrapersonal core competencies which enables us to face challenges and strive for excellence. Mr Nelson Yip, MH, an inspirational speaker will share his valuable experience on this topic with us.
To most people, disability is not only inconvenient but disastrous. Nelson is using his life story to demonstrate that disability can actually be a Gift and Blessing. In this seminar, Nelson will share some basic concept with research findings, articulate how he faces various challenges and see lives of his own and others as well as how he creates a purposeful way of living in our life. Nelson will also share his insights in business strategies and ways of creating business eco-system in the experience age.
Aims of the Seminar
The seminar aims to equip participants with a mindset, ideas and tips on how to support students with or without special needs in dealing with challenges.

About the Speaker
Mr Nelson Yip Siu-hong, MH, founding CEO and Director of EP Venture Limited has transformed and improved startups, public and private organisations with his experiences and capabilities. The core business focuses on Business Strategy Consulting which is a prerequisite in this fast growing economy.
Challenges are never an obstacle to Nelson. He views them as a motivation to improve further. Having contracted cerebral palsy as an infant, he was a frequent visitor at the hospital. The road was not easy but he made his way and was awarded a BSc in Statistics and Computer Science, MA in Quantitative Analysis in Business and an MBA at CUHK.
Horse riding is his other passion. Nelson was the first qualified representative of Hong Kong Paralympics Equestrian Competition in 2008. He was also an Olympic Torch Bearer of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. He was awarded the Medal of Honour by the HKSAR Government for his contribution in promoting sports for disabled athletes. He has also been conferred the Honorary Fellow by The City University of Hong Kong for his accomplishments and impacts on Hong Kong society.
