About the Event :
Educators and researchers come across with lots of copyrighted materials from day to day while referencing others' creative materials and developing their own works. Correct usage of copyrighted materials becomes an important issue in the academia in both ethical and law perspectives. To facilitate the proper use of copyrighted materials, Creative Commons Licences are used in different countries since the last decade.
In this seminar, coverage and applications of Cap. 528 Copyright Ordinance and Creative Commons Licences will be introduced. Tips for correct use of copyrighted materials in education and research will also be illustrated with real life examples.
