About the Event :

Video is considered as one of the most preferred means for the millennials to communicate, to entertain as well as to learn. The profusion of videos and visuals-based open educational resources (OER) enabled by technology revoked the concept of learning. Learning now is not bounded by space, time and age, it is rather a lifelong pursuit with the increasingly popular Micro Learning materials. The question remains. How to produce eye catching, effective educational videos using easily accessible equipment and editing software such as mobile phones and freeware? This seminar will share the experience of film and video production in Hollywood and Hong Kong's film and TV industry, and explore how would the standard and technique be applied to the making of educational videos. Examples and know-hows will be introduced.

Seminar Objectives

• present the standard and technique to produce eye catching and effective educational videos; and 
  
• share examples of eye-catching educational videos and the know-hows for their production.
  

Facilitator(s) :

Adky Wun (溫應鴻), graduated from Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA, is a renowned Hong Kong Cantonese pop song composer, lyricist, arranger, record producer, stage sound director, and film director. He worked with different celebrities such as Leslie Cheung, Anita Mui, Sammi Cheng, Kay Tse to produce many well-known works. He is the first musician in Hong Kong to research and develop advanced studio equipment with international recognition. He is also an expert in jazz and pop opera.
