About the Event :

In diverse classrooms, teachers may meet students with different cultural backgrounds and/or students with a wide range of learning needs. To cater for the unique challenges that the diversity may bring to classroom management, teachers are encouraged to plan and develop their strategies. This workshop aims to provide participants insights in cultivating a positive learning environment for the students of diverse needs, by discussing key principles of promoting inclusive education and suggestions for managing a diverse classroom.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

Upon completion of the workshop, the participants would be able to:

  • explain key principles of inclusive education for planning for a diverse classroom 
  • discuss practical strategies of managing a diverse classroom; and 
  • reflect on some strategies to deal with a diverse classroom
