About the Event :

In AY2017/18, the Central Moodle Platform was integrated with the Panopto* lecture capture system. Teachers are able to add Panopto videos in their Moodle Courses. In this seminar, Mr. Francis Tam, Regional Sales Director for Greater China at Panopto, will introduce the key features of Panopto, and demonstrate how to upload, manage, edit, search and share the video and audio files in Panopto. In addition, he will also share how other educational institutions are leveraging video for learning and teaching.

Facilitator(s) :

Mr. Francis Tam is the Regional Sales Director for Greater China at Panopto. Francis has 10 years of experience in the Greater China region, focusing the last 4 years in human resources. He is particularly familiar in training and development, team dynamics, and sourcing & manufacturing. Prior to his role at Panopto, Francis was at Team Building Asia facilitating training workshops in Greater China developing HR solutions for APAC clients. In his career, he developed an award winning mobile app with video technology for recruitment purposes with meta data for analytics.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

Upon the completion of the seminar, the participants would be able to:

• access, create, and share Panopto videos in a Moodle course; 
  
• edit Panopto video online; and
• explain how to leverage video for learning and teaching with reference to other educational institutions' practices.
