About the Event :

To facilitate independent-learning, the use of e-Books with rich media and interactive features would enrich students' learning experience. In view of this, the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) has invited Ms. Gaby Leong from the Advanced Printing Technology Centre (APTEC) to provide a basic workshop to introduce e-Books production workflow and equip participants with updated e-Books production tools. In addition, two advanced workshops with hands-on practice will also be provided on how to create interactive materials to enrich teaching and learning packages (TLPs).

Gaby holds a Diploma in Graphic Communication Design, Advanced Diploma in Creative Multimedia and Design Management, and Apple Certified Pro Final Cut Pro X (Level One). She has worked in Apple Inc. as Trainer and worked in LF Beauty (subsidiary of Li Fung Group) as trainer / consultant for Keynotes & iBooks Author. She is now an APTEC's instructor for e-Books Production Workshop.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

Upon the completion of the workshop, the participants would be able to:

• create your own template;  
  
• create own interactive widgets for TLP;  
  
• develop teaching materials with recording elements for TLP; and  
  
• select appropriate free teaching resources on web for usage in the TLP.
