About the Event :

“Advanced Video Post-production with DaVinci” is a workshop designed for participants who already have a solid foundation in video editing using DaVinci Resolve. The workshop will further enhance participants' skills and knowledge in advanced editing techniques, color grading, visual effects, audio post-production, and the usage of Parade, Waveform, Vectorscope and Histogram. Through hands-on practice and in-depth discussions, participants will gain the expertise required to create professional-grade teaching videos with exceptional visual quality and artistic flair.

Facilitator(s) :

Mr Tobby KAN

Tobby KAN is a Lecturer in Lingnan University. Prior to joining Lingnan University, Tobby has taught at the Hong Kong Design Institute and Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (HKDI). He is currently a PhD candidate at Lancaster University specialising in Technology Enhanced Learning. Tobby holds a Master of Science Degree in Multimedia and Entertainment Technology from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as well as a Bachelor of Communication Degree in Film at the Hong Kong Baptist University. Additionally, Tobby has participated in various industrial and commercial projects including ViuTV, RTHK, Freshwave production and projects supported by CreateHK where he performed roles such as producer, cinematographer, editor and colourist.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

On completion of the workshop, participants would be able to:

• apply advanced color grading techniques to create unique visual styles and atmospheres; and
• optimise workflow and utilise advanced features in DaVinci Resolve for efficient editing and post-production.
