About the Event :
“DaVinci Basics: Editing and Creating Teaching Materials from Scratch” is a workshop designed to introduce participants to the essential concepts, tools, and techniques of video editing using DaVinci Resolve, a powerful video editing software. Participants will be guided through the video production process, from prior planning (pre-production) and video shooting (production) to assets preparation and editing (post-production). The workshop provides beginners with a solid foundation in video editing and empowers them to create professional-quality teaching videos.

Mr Tobby KAN
Tobby KAN is a Lecturer in Lingnan University. Prior to joining Lingnan University, Tobby has taught at the Hong Kong Design Institute and Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (HKDI). He is currently a PhD candidate at Lancaster University specialising in Technology Enhanced Learning. Tobby holds a Master of Science Degree in Multimedia and Entertainment Technology from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as well as a Bachelor of Communication Degree in Film at the Hong Kong Baptist University. Additionally, Tobby has participated in various industrial and commercial projects including ViuTV, RTHK, Freshwave production and projects supported by CreateHK where he performed roles such as producer, cinematographer, editor and colourist.
