About the Event :

Learning analytics involves the collection, measurement, analysis and reporting of data about students for understanding and improving learning and teaching. Effective use of learning analytics can benefit students, teachers and institutions. This workshop will introduce the learning analytics tools in various learning platforms, particularly “IntelliBoard” - a new analytics tool that has already been employed in VTC's Learning Management System - Moodle. This workshop will also explore how teachers can make use of data and analytics to engage students in online learning and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching practices.

Intended Learning Outcomes :

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• explore the use of learning analytics tools in various learning platforms; and
• utilise the data and information extracted from IntelliBoard to track students' learning progress and enhance online learning and teaching.
