About the Event :

What is changing in the way our students approach learning and what are the implications for us in the design and delivery of teaching and learning? Students today live in a technology enabled, globally conncted world. They want to learn at pace and be able to apply their learning quickly, with impact. In this seminar we will explore ways in which we, as teachers and educators need to both respond to their changing learning preferences and take advantage of new approaches to the design and delivery of teaching and learning.

Content

  •  Learning theory and teaching in the 21st Century
  • The impact of technology on teaching and learning
  • The “flipped classroom”, Activity Led and Problem Based approaches
  • Teaching and learning in a Global environment

The seminar is suitable for anyone involved in teaching or academic development, especially for colleagues in their early/mid careers. This seminar would typically be part of an early module of Post Graduate Certificate Programme for academic staff in the Coventry University.

Facilitator(s) :

Mr Mark Holton
