Programme Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • describe the implications of OBTL and HKQF to learning and teaching; 
  • identify suitable teaching practices to motivate and enhance student learning; and 
  • employ strategies and technology to enhance teaching effectiveness. 


Programme Structure

The programme comprises two modules. Each module is equivalent to 2.5 hours with 1.5 hours online facilitation & 1-hour self-study. The total number of hours is five.

Mode of Delivery

A range of teaching and learning activities such as lectures, discussions, and computer-based learning would be used.

Completion Requirement

To complete the programme, participants must attend Modules 1 and 2. 

A certificate of completion will be issued upon completion of the modules.

Module Description

Upon completion of the module, participants will be able to:

  • explain the use of outcome-based approach to learning and teaching to help students learn; and
  • align learning and teaching approaches with OBTL and HKQF. 


Upon completion of the module, participants will be able to:

  • align learning and teaching activities and assessment strategies with intended learning outcomes (ILOs); and
  • apply teaching strategies and EdTech tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
